I'm as guilty of this as others. Why do we change recipes taken off this site when we first try them? Is it human nature to leave one's mark / do your own thing ?
e.g. Spciysarsy recently said on another thread" Chili, the onion bhaji's turned out fantastic, I added some mushrooms, lemon juice, and used potatoe flour. Many thanks for your recipe. Paul"
These additional ingredients may have improved the recipe of they might have ruined it. Who knows?

lol that's a good point George. I do suffer from the same urge to do my own thing on just about every recipe.
We should rate the recipes unaltered.

Don't we all ? But that is where the adventure of cooking lies. Nevertheless if we post a genuine BIR recipe then that is what it is. I do find it interesting to read the additions and changes; I wonder where you got the idea of mushrooms from Spicy, I can't say it appeals to me. :o ;D

In reply to the open question of why I chose to add mushroom to my bhaji, the answer is simply I love to experiment and tried just 1 bhaji to see how it would taste with mushroom, and I have to admit I carried on to make a batch. {If we did'nt experiment we would never gain knowlege } I think that might of been one of the Dark Lords Quotes LoL
Could it be that I am starting to be in fluenced by the dark side :o. May the shwartz be with you all. Regards Paul
