Whats wrong with a bit of Glasgow salad Garp? :)
-
Sorry, Gav, missed your reply amongst all the CA nonsense.
I was just concerned for CT's health as I thought that a lot of his midnight snacks seemed to include chips.
A Glasgow salad, is quite amusing though. Can I refer you to the official Sunderland Salad (I think it works better with both words starting with the same letter).
Anyway, the Sunderland Salad consists of two meat pies and a sausage roll (apparently).
This attempt at wit can be altered to use the name of any town/area/country which starts with S.
Scottish Salad....Southern Salad.....Salford Salad.....Scousers Salad.....etc etc :)
-
I think you will find the sausage roll in sunderland is infact referred to as a 'MACKEM DUMMY' :D
Barry
-
I have no answer to that, Barry. But if you explain the reason for such name, I'll be interested :)
-
That looks great CT. When you say freshly-poached chicken, is that your usual 'pre-cooking' method or is this different? Bon app
