Welcome henry, from a fellow Scot.

Hope you enjoy your time here. I'm sure you will learn lots - I know I have. One of the good things I find is that people from all over the UK and many other places besides, who contribute, offer different ideas and variations of similar dishes from different regions.

Most people, I think, try to make the dishes with which they are familiar. That changes from country to country, region to region, town to town, even outlets on the same street.

What part of Scotland are you from and what kind of dishes do you like?

Thank?s Garp, I am from kirkcaldy, fife, you ? I like bhuna , madras , not too mild. Years ago it was vindaloo when I went out for a curry but don?t think I could tackle one now.

I'm way down in Dumfries, mate.

There are at least a couple of cracking Madras recipes on here (madrasandy and chewytikka). Have a look around and post some pictures if you fancy of your dishes. For some of us curry pornsters, it's the only enjoyment we get theses days :P

Use to follow Rallying so have been down your neck of the woods a couple of times in the 80?s. Yes, the base I?m doing just now is Chewy?s btw.

Anyway, work tomorrow, better get some kip. Good luck my friend :)
