Thanks Guys,

Chewy I made the curry with your 3 hour pressure base, it's a very tasty base, the sieving gives such a silky smooth texture to the finished sauce.
I'm most impressed.

Very nice indeed, LC. Don't know if I've tried Happy pilau, but will check it out :)

Nice pic - looks good.
I tried to find Chewy's pressure cooker thread using the site search without success. So I just googled it and it found it straight away :)

It looks good - and you say it can be done in an hour if you put the lid on the pressure cooker? That would be a result when you're a bit pushed.  It would also make it possible when we do cookery lessons to make the gravy on the same day as cooking the curries - normally we have to say 'here's one we did earlier.'

Cheers,
Tim

May I just say that a very useable and versatile base is perfectly achievable in around an hour, without a pressure cooker.

How long are you cooking the onions for? about 10mins?

Looks just great LC  :P - Good to see someone else likes lemon with / in their Madras, for me lemon & tomato (plus chilli too) really makes the dish  :)
