Title: Chicken Tikka Napali (at first)
Post by: podmore on October 02, 2014, 02:29 PM
I don't think iv seen a Napali on here, it may be a dish that's local to the Manchester area.
It a fiery dish made with a teaspoon of Mr Naga pickle and birds eye chilies.
I do like the Naga Pickle, its not as hot as the name implies and has a nice well rounded flavour.

you might have noticed the items in the background, this was a bit of playtime and i'd made Lamb sheikh kebab's as burgers to be topped with chicken tikka Napali and and onion bharjis onion rings.
It was really good and a nice twist on a burger with a BIR

I've never heard of a <whatever> Napali before; do you think there is any chance it is a <whatever> Nepali (i.e., Nepalese recipe) with a misprint ?

you can get it from a lot of the local takeaways / restaurants around here.
The taste & quality does vary slightly from place to place but is for most part very similar with the use of Mr Naga.

I'm thinking this will be a good one for BBQ's next year :)
And obviously liquid refreshment
I have to say that a lamb sheikh burger kicks the bottom of a standard burger

Just had a proper look at the burger. Looks great I have to say, onion bhaji rings, MMMmmm. We often do mini seekh kebab burgers when we have a bbq and the rings would go great.  One problem though, who on here has a mouth big enough for it to fit your burger in?  ;)
