Post by: london on July 06, 2014, 07:08 PM
I've been thinking about buying a pressure cooker but know nothing about them, can someone enlighten me regarding which brands are good and what are they best used for cooking.

Thanks in advance for you help,

This is the message I received from CT.

Hi P360
A simple start would be to

brown off the portion of cubed Beef,
with oil,
onions,
2 Tej Patta,
2inch cinnamon,
5 cardamom pods.
Stir fry this in your pressure cooker for 5ish mins,
once it looks browned.
take a kettle and cover with boiling water (careful).

Pop the lid on and lock,
bring it up to pressure (high heat) then soon as its
up to pressure,
turn the heat down to low.
Let it cook for 15mins then switch
it off and leave it to release the pressure naturally (about 10mins)

Have a look and it should be tender, if not put the heat on low and slightly
simmer and stew until its perfect. (lid off)

Tip:  Use a timer, 15 to 18 mins is all you need under pressure.
overcooking makes Beef/Lamb tough and it looses its flavour into the stock.

cheers ChewyTikka

Have you heard of halogen ovens? I have one for about six months and I am very happy with it. I can cook almost anything without problems.

Well well well -- another "completely spontaneous" attempt at product placement of R@dm0nd products ...  Do give it a rest Tanta/Cindy -- you guys are so transparent that a child of five could see through your pathetic attempts to promote cr@p.  How much commission do R@dm0nd pay you ?  Clearly not enough for you to pay to learn to write proper English before trying to con the good folk of CR0 ...

You'd better follow your English, my dear. If you don't like this very brand it doesn't give you any right to offend other forum members.
By the way I've recently orderend the MC and as soon as I get it I'll make selfie with it - personnally for YOU to make sure I Do use it!
Good luck

What, not even those who join, make two facile posts, and then use their forum membership to start promoting cr@p ?

Don't bother -- between you, you and Cindy have personally destroyed any hopes that R@dm0nd might have had of selling their wares to CR0 members.
