Personally I think the triads got to him! ???
I've not seen such a blunt departure since the great Ghanna left many moons ago (only oldies will remeber him/her). He was getting nothing but praise too.

I agree SS - the three pointed people have appeared to have pounced

Hmm, I tried translating that into Thai and then back again to see if I got a more idiomatic rendering, but sadly the translator reported "translation not possible : semantics of initial utterance cannot be ascertained; alliterative style suggests upstream mis-translation from Anglo-Saxon". Could you possibly re-express the above pearl of wisdom in a slighly less Confucius-like style ?

You don't need to just buy this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wok-fury-How-cook-Chinese-ebook/dp/B00E2RQ9U2 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wok-fury-How-cook-Chinese-ebook/dp/B00E2RQ9U2)
The recipes Scotty posted are nearly exact.

I have it UF - had it when it came out and have been in contact with Khoan

Ah, gotcha ! The "San ho hui" bit went over my head, probably because I have been warned too often by the wife that if you are ever confronted by just /two/ triad members you need to run like f*** (sorry, George) and never wait for the third to appear :)

I too have noticed that the recipes Scotty shared (although excellent) were no real different to any other BCR recipes found in Khoan's and other books I have.

But Scotty wasn't charging for them and we could talk to him. And if he really was working in a CBR then obviously his recipes are going to be very similar to Khoan's who is himself a takeaway chef. I still wish he'd stayed.

Indeed SS, but I think the request for BBQ sauce could not be fulfilled hence he has never returned ;)
I have searched the internet and every chinese recipe book I can find for the recipe and always drawn a blank as the recipes are nowhere close until Khoan's input.
It is easy to copy & paste a recipe then add a little bit to it to make it 'authentic TA' style
I'm not saying that Scotty did just that, but his disaperance was as sudden as realising you cant post the requested recipe ;)

I don't put it down to that geezah, he doesn't seem to be active anywhere at the moment (Facebook, twitter, YouTube or Instagram) so perhaps he's simply ill, or away on a trip somewhere. Bit too soon to call the missing person's bureau I think.

For 3.91 GBP it' not going to break the bank, i ask questions to Khoan through e-mail and he has always answered within 1-2 days.
