Title: My First Jalfrezi
Post by: Garp on January 18, 2014, 03:57 PM
Since I'm so organised this week - chicken is tikka'd, naans and rice defrosting, base ready to go, just need to throw it together for a wee Korma - thought I'd try a Jalfrezi.

This is SL's recipe with my own base and mix powder - unfortunately had no tomatoes :(

Had a little taste and it seems ok :)

Shame you're not closer Garp.  That would have saved me the effort of cooking tonight  ;)  Very edible looking indeed.  I've now got to decide what curry to cook for my supper to go with the peshwari naan  which i am going to attempt to make.:P  If it all goes horribly wrong i have garlic and coriander back up plan  ;D

Great minds think alike Garp I made this earlier   Looking good
And thanks SL for the recipe Its one of my regulars
I also made a lamb one ( I raided the freezer yesterday to see what I had hidden and found some pre cooked lamb amongst other things ) the lamb was a bit strong so Im going to add some spinach to it later
Also some frozen dough ball are defrosting so I can give a second opinion after CH
Let the evening begin    Now where's that beer

I've a minor matter of two lots of samosa dough I need now roll, cook and cut for a bit of samosa making tomorrow before i can start my food for this evening.  And i have to cook the lamb filling as well as the spuds.  It's all go this curry lark.  I've also got to fit the pub in at some point too  ::)

You guys!!!!

I've had my Korma (and reheated naans) and you're still faffing about.

Gave the Jalfrezi to son of Mrs G, aka the Guinea pig. Still waiting on the verdict.

Looking forward to the frozen dough verdicts.
