Hi Everybody, I know Ime a bit new to this but can you tell me what is meant by Bir and Garabi,I will only be able to follow whats happening if I know what is meant in the forums. Thanks Guy's.

"BIR" = "British Indian Restaurant"
"Garabi" is an approximation to a common Bengali pronunciation of "Gravy" [1], and here refers to the base sauce that is used as an ingredient of most BIR curries.
