Title: Nipoori tandoor

I just searched for previous posts on this product but nothing came up. I thought I'd seen it mentioned before.

Anyway, I happened to visit a barbecue showroom at the weekend and they had these 'tandoor ovens' on sale. I was pleasantly surprised how solid and well built they are. The list price is

No wonder I had some recollection of the product, given my participation in the first thread, at least. Impressions from the weekend are that cooking naan bread in it would be nigh-on impossible. The opening looks too small.  So I assume that no sample was delivered to the cr0 barbecue? It did look good though and worth a try, I'd say.

Fishy said much the same about naans, but the manufacturers offered a recommendation :

As for cooking naans it would be tricky due to the smallish opening they suggest putting the naan on a pan onto the supplied grill, the oven splits in halve easily so can be done without hassle, i will try this and report back.
