Hi everyone - I'm new to this, so please forgive me if I do anything stupid!

First, welcome.
This might sound like a simple question but firstly , you'll need to make a base sauce/gravy.
Popular ones are Chewytikka's (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,5635.0.html (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,5635.0.html)), Coryander's (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,3772.0.html (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,3772.0.html)), there are plenty of others that you can use. I chose these two specifically because the first has a video and produces constantly good results. The second is useful as it can be used in CA's recipes (although I personally use CT's base for everything.
Secondly you'll need to surf around a bit to find a recipe you fancy. I can't say I've ever used any nut products in a curry, most are meat, vegetables and spices.
Balti recipes are not so easy....http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,12276.0.html (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,12276.0.html)
Note to Admin - It would be good to have a wiki section with relevant info for people new to the site.
