Hi H4ppy
If you keep the little bulbettes, dry and re plant them you'll end up with the one clove garlic bulbs.
The same as you can buy in Lidl (in a basket).
Further on, if you re plant those, you'll end up with your original large Elephant Garlic again.
I'm a huge fan of the one clove garlic and garlic greens in curries.
cheers Chewy

Cheers Chewy, so in 2 years the little bulbettes will be big heads of garlic. SWEET. Do you grow any?

You tie three in a bundle and enter them for the
Lord Raglan onion competition (https://en-gb.facebook.com/events/359883250806671/?ref=22). If you are as lucky as the gentleman who did that today, you will not only win the booby prize (for a mis-identified species) but will also have the satisfaction of seeing your prize-winning garlic auctioned for GBP 35-00 in aid of the
Dandelion Time (http://www.dandeliontime.org.uk/) charity.
