Just a guess(I never had much garlic naans before): Garlic Butter perhaps?

I read on this forum recently of someone being absolutely disgusted to find that their garlic naans were prepared with garlic butter, so that may not be the optimal recipe ...

My mistake :  that was pizza  (http://www.curry-recipes.co.uk/curry/index.php/topic,11597.msg90161.html#msg90161)of which they were writing ...

How about using garlic paste on the nan in the same way as peshwari paste ?

Will have to do some experimenting..
