Does any one have any authentic recipes for the accompaniments that compliment the famous poppadom?
The two I most like are the 'Onion with mint' and a red dry coconut type.

I always have onion salad with my currys and make it like this:
1 Onion(chop how you like it every BIR i've been to is different)
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Teaspoon salt(or to taste)
1 Teaspoon of mint sauce
1 Teaspoon chopped fresh coriander
Mix together in a bowl, cover with cling film and leave in the fridge.
You can also add some chopped tom's and cucumber if you wanted.

I make my own mint chutney: a small tub of natural yogurt
2tsp of mint sauce
a pinch of chilli powder
a pinch of garam masala
1/2 tsp of sugar
You can also add a touch of green food colouring but I don't usually bother unless I am in full 'restaurant mode'!
...thats it, put it in the fridge for an hour or 2 before serving and it is delicious with papadoms and starters! :P
