Clockwise from bottom right - Lamb Koftas, Mushroom Bhaji, Plain Rice, Cabbage Foogath
Top - pre-bought Parathas
Very tasty looking spread there SL. Wish i could just nip round for a bite. The mushroom bhaji is drawing me closer :P :P
I'll just have to make do with my experimental madras and plain old pilau rice - after the pub of course ;)
sounds good CH, I'm not in the pub but I do have a few ciders on the go :).
That lamb kofta curry looks the business! But I assume it's the one on the bottom left, not right ;)
yes spicey I don't know my left from right or my elbow from my arse :)
The cabbage foogath SL, does it feature on BIR menus in your neck of the woods? Or is it a personal preference. Can't say i've seen it locally :-\
CH - the cabbage foogath doesn't feature on any menus I've seen. I had an abundance of left over cabbage after making some soup so, having consulted some tomes for a cabbage recipe, low and behold I came across this in PC's Indian Restaurant Cookbook. Very simple, just a stir fry of sliced onions, shredded cabbage, chopped garlic and chilli and dessicated coconut. Nice it was too!
I love a cabbage curry. In particular, when i go to a Sri Lankan place and get rice and three. :P
Plain basmati with either a meat or veg curry, dal and a cabbage curry. Delicious. :)
