Well having been dragged out Saturday, curry day was moved to Sunday.

Bit disappointed with the Madras though. Either burnt the spices a bit or used too much lemon juice. Can't quite put my finger on it but the finished product was a little darker than usual. Quite brown in fact. Family still seemed to appreciate though and I do always ask them for HONEST comments. ;)

Madras before the meat.
If it's without the meat, what are the two "chunks", please, RD?
Otherwise, your resultant curries look great (including your rice) 8)

But of course.. ;) I do sometimes get that sideways ( do I really want to tell him the truth ) look. ::)

Two quarters lemon - given a twist then dropped in the sauce. ( as per Julian's recipe )
Not got the meat in there as I prepared in the morning. let it cool then added pre cooked tikka and reheated in oven. Must admit the tikka was a little over done before I used it but was not wasting it. ;D Far too tight for that.
Will do better next time.

Ahhhh, half a lemon seems rather excessive to me, for sure......

Double portion. Large size 4 pan?
Think I may have over done it still?

Great looking spread there RubyDoo!
Rob :)

I reckon so, in a Madras (some would say to add no lemon juice at all to a Madras). But I might add 2-5ml per portion. I reckon a quarter of a lemon would be at least 10ml (plus pith plus rind)?

all looks good to me RubyDoo.

Your comments are kind but my bad photography I think hides the sins of the over dark and strange tasting Madras at the rear. ;) ;). Still , a learning curve that never seems to straighten.

It's a lovely-looking spread, RD! :)
