Punjabi chilli chicken starter recipe request

Would appreciate a recipe or any info for this Punjabi starter folks.  Had one for the first time yesterday from a TA.  Unbelievably good!  Came wrapped up in tin foil.  Chunks of chicken on or off-the-bone (I was given the option) coated in a hot (very hot), sweet and sour, spicy, sticky stuff (a bit chinese- or thai-like, but in a different league taste-wise).  Served shashlik style with loads of grilled/fried onion and peppers.  Just begging to be put on a sizzler.

sounds a bit like Chicken 65 - there's some recipes on here that you will find using the search feature

Made a kilo of chicken 65 last night.  Preparing the chicken thighs seemed to take me ages, but the end result was worth it.  What a fantastic dish.  Talk about hot; it nearly blew my socks off!  Lovely stuff.  Found great info on here as usual:
