'Fraid not, Tommy : two different things.  I use Kashmiri for colour, Deggi for heat; both give colour, both give heat, but each emphasise a different role.  To know what you are looking for when you next visit the shops, see the images below.

Thanks Phil,
I unfortunately thought I had it cracked for a minute. Either I was reading it wrong or they have got it wrong.
I got my information from this place...

Yes, I've seen the same statement elsewhere, but I have both in my spice cupboard and can assure you that, at least as boxed and sold by MDH, they are not the same.  Similar, yes; the same, no.  If only one could buy a Scoville meter as easily as a Redox/ORP meter, I could do some quantitative analysis and share the results !  But I think it would be fair to say that if a recipe called for one, and you had only the other, you could substitute it without major problems : Deggi does indeed give a nice red colour, just not as red as Kashmiri; and Kashmiri does give heat, just not as much as Deggi !

Kashmiri chilli powder should be ground kashmiri chillies. Deggi, on the other hand, is ground resham-patti chillies and possibly other stuff like paprika and even kashmiri chillies.
