Excellent program ,very interesting ,thanks' for the link Curry Crazy. ;)

Interesting to note :- < in Bangladesh they dont use fresh >
Also the two Indian fellows who were on holiday in India preffered the taste of Indian food in the UK .
Also note the use of Shallots and Butter Ghee in their Curries.

I don't live in the UK so I can't watch it  :(
Does anyone know any other site that I can watch it on?

I just sat and watched this on i-player, it certainly makes you think about how different curries are made around the world :)

Why bother? This is the same man who was surprised that a recipe for lamb curry called for the lamb to be added raw and not pre-fried as his english cooking training would have taught him!

I can't be taught anything by that sort of person!

Yep - I agree SS - but this time it's not Stein doing the cooking.

He wandering around Asia in this series watching how it should be done  ;D

In this episode, he's in Bangladesh, and seeing as many bir owners/chefs are Bangladeshi the curries they show are the building blocks of what we are looking for!

It's good watching this on Sky+ or Iplayer coz you don't have to listen to his waffle!

i've now watched the video. the programme was just ok for me. it wasn't up to his normal standard as he liberally skipped through most of the cooking and i don't see the actual recipes on the bbc web site.

the biriyani part really got my nose up - it was the best bit but because there was no translator it was a guessing game on what went in.

I love the bit where he is in Bangladesh and meets two Asians from Britain on holiday there. He asked them what they thought of the food and they both said it was tasteless and much better in Britain. Proof that Britain is the curry capital of the world!

http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/travel_and_culture/watch/v18985837sT9qadbk#watch%3Dv18985998d4r2tpfe

Had to search this out to watch as its no longer available on iplayer.

I remember watching it last time round but it made alot more sense this time round. Some cracking recipes on it. Shame we didn't get the recipe for the biryani but then I guess Rick was too.

Really enjoyed this episode and will be trying some of the dishes.
